Privacy Policy
Effective 6 October 2026 · Applies to the Mom Menu app for iPhone
Mom Menu plans your family's meals on your iPhone. Everything you tell it stays on your device. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics or tracking, and no server that your information passes through.
What stays on your device
What you enter about your family: each kid's first name (optional), age band, allergies, loved foods and dislikes, how many adults eat with you, your store, your weekly budget, your meal plan, your shopping list and your favorites. It is stored only on your iPhone. If your iPhone backups are on, it is part of your iCloud or computer backup under Apple's own terms. Mom Menu has no cloud sync and cannot see any of it.
Recipes, prices and store information ship inside the app and work offline. Costs shown in the app are estimates calculated on your device.
What leaves your device
| When | What happens | Who handles it |
|---|---|---|
| You subscribe or buy Lifetime | The purchase is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We receive only an anonymous confirmation that a purchase is active. | Apple |
| You copy or share your shopping list | You choose where it goes through the iOS share sheet. | Wherever you send it |
Nothing else leaves your device. We never see your payment details, your Apple ID or your name.
What we do not do
- No user accounts, sign-in or email collection.
- No advertising, no advertising identifiers, no tracking across apps or websites.
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs of any kind.
- No selling, renting or sharing of personal data, because we never receive any.
Notifications
If you turn on the weekly planning reminder, it is scheduled on your device. No notification content passes through a server.
Children
Mom Menu is made for parents. Details about your kids are entered by you and stay on your device; we do not collect information from or about children. The app is not directed at children under 13.
Allergies and food safety
Mom Menu leaves out the allergens you choose when it plans meals, but it cannot check product labels or cross-contact. Always read labels when you shop.
Your choices
- See, change or delete your information in the app, in Family and Settings. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
- Manage or cancel a subscription in iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple.
- If you are in the EEA, UK or California, you have rights to access, correct, delete and object to processing of personal data. Because Mom Menu holds no personal data outside your own device, you exercise these rights directly on your device.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app's release notes.
